Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players ·
-/////-

I just received word that FAVA is bringing the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players to Edmonton. They’re a band that finds old photos at garage sales and then writes songs about them. EGGS!

Bob Wiseman will also be there. He does slideshows while he sings as well. He’s a big favorite of mine too.

FAVA, Latitude, Metro Cinema and some other great folks are putting on the Stem Cell Sub-Terranean Edmonton Media Arts Festival. It’s a long name for alt/experimental film fest which is coming up on April 12th to 14th. All I know is that aAron Munson is going to have some bonkers stop motion stuff and that that Stem Cell will be some delicious brain food. YUMMY!

Vincent Gallo is the man. His film Brown Bunny is now out on DVD and he’s got his own website up and running and there’s a shot of him with Snoop Dogg and one with Rick Rubin and Johnny Ramone.
